However, the Canucks, who were the seventh seed in the Western Conference, upset the Rangers in the Final in seven games. 4. 2012 – Los Angeles Kings over New Jersey Devils: The Kings were the eighth seed in the Western Conference, but they dominated the playoffs, winning their first three series in just 14 games. They faced the New Jersey Devils in the Final, and although the Devils were a strong team, the Kings swept them in four games. Kings goalie Jonathan Quick was the MVP of the playoffs.

These upsets were surprising because the teams that won were not expected to do so. The underdogs played with heart and determination, and they were able to defeat more talented and higher-seeded teams.
